Vehicle Inspection Centres — PTI & PDI Lanes | GCC

Inspection Centres

Periodic inspection
at lane speed.

CXS automates the visual half of periodic and pre-delivery inspection across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC. The vehicle drives through at walking pace and leaves with a complete, time-stamped condition record.

The bottleneck

Throughput is capped by headcount.

A manual walk-around takes five to twenty minutes and its result depends on who is on shift, how the light falls and how late in the day it is. Adding lanes means adding inspectors, and every additional inspector widens the spread between the strictest and the most lenient assessment.

In a centre running two shifts, that spread is what generates re-tests, appeals and disputes — the cost that never appears on the inspection price list.

What changes

The same vehicle produces the same record.

The ARCH captures the full exterior with 17 industrial cameras at 4K while the undercarriage, tread and sidewall modules read the parts an inspector has to crouch or lift for. Total capture time is ten seconds at up to 10 km/h.

The inspector stops being a measuring instrument and becomes an adjudicator: reviewing flagged findings instead of hunting for them.

Questions

Common questions from centre operators.

Do we need to rebuild the lane?

No. The ARCH installs into an existing drive-through lane and the undercarriage module sits on the floor at 88 mm, so no pit or excavation is required. An in-ground variant is available where a flush floor is preferred.

Can we start with one module?

Yes. Plate recognition, tread and undercarriage are sold individually and can be bought directly from the catalogue. The ARCH body scanner is quoted per site because it is configured to the lane.

How does it connect to our existing system?

Through open APIs, with SAP-ready output. Processing runs on a local server or in the cloud, depending on your data policy.

What does delivery to the GCC cost?

Equipment prices are EXW Shanghai. Delivery DAP to a GCC airport starts at around USD 10,000 per complete system. An all-inclusive package covering delivery to your site, installation and operator training is available on request.
